Our Story

The system wasn't working

Telehealth Australia Group was founded in 2024 because the system wasn't working.

Patients with ADHD were waiting 12+ months to see a psychiatrist. People wanting to lose weight couldn't find a GP who understood the options. Australians in regional areas had almost no access to specialist care.

Meanwhile, good GPs were stuck in bulk-billing clinics, overworked and underpaid, unable to focus on the conditions they actually cared about.

We started with ADHD GP Australia. Within six weeks, doctors were fully booked and patients were finally getting the care they'd been waiting months for.

Now we're expanding. Weight loss. Menopause. Hair loss. Men's health. Each clinic is purpose-built for a single condition — because patients deserve a GP who specialises in their problem, not one who sees everything and masters nothing.

We're not backed by venture capital. We don't have a board to answer to. We're building this the right way: fast, fair, and focused on what actually matters — getting patients the care they need.

The current system makes people wait months for basic care. That's broken. We fix it by connecting patients directly with GPs who can help — now, not next year.

GPs deserve better

Most clinics treat doctors as interchangeable labour. We treat them as partners. Fair pay, flexible hours, patients delivered, zero politics.

Specialisation beats generalisation

A GP who sees 50 ADHD patients a week is better at ADHD than one who sees 2. We let GPs focus on conditions they're good at and enjoy.

Simple beats complicated

Healthcare is already complex enough. Our job is to make it simple — for patients and for doctors.

Speed matters

Patients are suffering while committees meet. We move fast, launch fast, and fix problems as we go.

Who's behind this

Luke Nielsen

Founder & CEO

Luke founded Telehealth Australia Group in 2024 after seeing firsthand how broken healthcare access had become. He previously built and sold Psychiatrists Australia, a telehealth psychiatry platform.

He holds a Business degree from the University of Queensland, is a licensed recreational pilot, and is working toward joining the Royal Flying Doctor Service.
